WE’RE AT OUR WITS END, SHOULD WE FILE FOR BANKRUPTCY?

I undergo all the experts feature insolvency is not an option, but we can’t do this anymore! We hit most 20 assemblage accounts on our credit. One repo, the rest are scrutiny bills, payday advances, enrollee loans, back taxes, etc. We’re bushed of all of the calls and we can’t clear rent and reassert our underway expenses same daycare, food, transportation, etc and clear off these bills. Should we file? Our assign scores are between 510 and 520 how such worsened can it get?

I don’t know what “experts” you may be listening to, but in certain cases bankruptcy is definately the answer.
Even if you are scrapping to get by, you shouldn’t skimp on an attorney in a bankruptcy case. At least retain one to use as a “coach.”
Based on what you are telling me, go ahead and file for bankruptcy. Get all of these things behind you and start life anew. Over the long run, it may actually improve your score, if you handle your new life responsibly.

It all depends on what your total debt is. If you pay rent, pay for food and utilities-what is left-that is what you pay down your debt with. You and your husband can get a 2nd job to handle your misuse of money and learn from your issue and set goals for your future. Have a yard sale and use the proceeds to pay down the debt. Do not use payday advances anymore and get rid of these asap. Set a written budget and stick to it. I use MVELOPES and it works great for our family.

I’m getting an ulcer from the last 4 Questions and I can only imagine what you are going through. The State of the Union Address should be a macrocosm of your dilemma. These are crazy times we live in and like Bob Dylan said A Hard Rains a Goin to Fall On and the Answer is Blowin in the Wind. I think it must be hard to keep your mouth above the water. Just think how the people suffered from all those hurricanes. Young people coming home from Iraq in a body bag or handicapped for life. There is enough misery in the USA to put a halt to singing America the Beautiful. I’d bankrupt and get it together this time.

First off, you can not include Federal Student loans or back taxes in the bankruptcy. Instead of banging your head against the wall, contact a bankruptcy attorney and find out exactly what options you have. Most will not charge for the first meeting.
